Had such a lovely morning on Saturday.
Clare and Danny were getting married at the amazing 12th Century church in lelant St.Ives.
I got to the church over an hour early, as Ricky was heading to The Carbis Bay Hotel to photograph Clare, there were traffic lights at Tesco's ( quite a major event in our quite part of the world!) and I wanted to be there before anyone arrived.
I took my detail photos that I like to do, I wandered around the grounds, and I got to watch the whole preparation unfold, the flowers arriving, the bows being tied to the old oak trees, the vicar putting on his robes, the ladies lighting the candles, even the nesting swallows diving in and out of the church doorways. It was peaceful, beautiful and a special morning. Little did I know what was going on Rickys end where there was a mad panic over a missing horse that involved a stranded bride and a flurry of people jumping in cars to hunt for the missing horse!
But all ended well, Clare arrived, a bit late but nothing major, Danny was there, and the service was just perfect. The choir were so amazing I want them be at every wedding we attend, and i wish I could remember the words to the song they sang while the register was being signed as it was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard!
We met Clare and Danny on the day as for one reason or another every time they tryed to make the journey from Liverpool were they live to Cornwall something stopped them, or they got here and had to rush back, but it didnt matter, such easy going lovely couple, everything fell into place.
Clare wore a beautiful ivory dress with an amazing vail and ever so sparkly shoes that I fell in love with. She looked amazing.
After the church we went straight to the beach at Carbis bay and were joined by the bridesmaids and bestmen and we had a great time and got some perfect pictures.
Then back to the lawns at The Carbis Bay Hotel for much needed drinks ( them, not us!)
The sun shone, the sky looked amazing ( we do like a bit of cloud, it makes for much more interesting photographs) the guests were happy, The hotel as always looked amazing, and Victoria was there overseeing to make sure all was perfect, and it was.
Just want to thank everyone there for making us feel so welcome, it was a pleasure to be taking the photos.
Clare and Danny, thank you for being such easy going and relaxed people, we know you had a good day, heres to a brilliant future!
